BarberFinds began its journey in the bustling streets of New York City in 1965. .
1965 ESTABLISHED
Founded by Joseph “Joe” Barbero, a second-generation Italian-American barber, the original shop was a small, yet welcoming space on the corner of a busy neighborhood in Brooklyn.
Joe, with his charismatic personality and unparalleled skill with scissors and razors, quickly turned the shop into a local favorite. It wasn’t just a place for a haircut; it was where community members came to catch up, share stories, and enjoy the camaraderie that only a local barber shop could offer.
2005 SECOND GENERATION
With the advent of the internet and the digital age, the Barbero family saw an opportunity to extend their legacy beyond the confines of Brooklyn.
They envisioned a platform that could replicate the community and connection of their local shop on a national scale.
This vision led to the birth of BarberFinds.com in the early 2000s, a directory aimed at connecting individuals with the best barber shops in their area, reminiscent of the trust and quality associated with the original BarberFinds shop.
